I was going for an Asian feel with this bowl. It was from a piece of oak that had been soaking in beer and wrapped in plastic wrap. This creates some fungus that adds some interesting patterns to the wood. After turning the bowl I noticed some worm holes so I decided to scrape out the soft wood that the worm leaves behind. I think it adds some interesting patterns in this piece.
