Spalted Maple Blank
My father and I purchase some large spalted maple platter blanks about 2 months ago. The wood was pretty green so we have been letting them dry out a bit. We didn’t have a faceplate big enough for the blanks so we just purchased an 8″ 1-1/4×8 RH Faceplate from Packard Woodworks.
Jordan Hook Tool
Some of the vases we have been turning have steep tops and it’s getting hard to hollow them out at the top so we also purchased a Jordan 3/4″ x 20″ #2 Hook Tool. We already have several “hooked” tools but they are too big to use on some of the smaller pieces.
Hopefully we will get our woodworking tools before the July 4th weekend because I have a vase already waiting.
